Love your reviews and thank you for sharing some of the non-clean products too, I have been so curious about Glossier’s Boy Brow yet from what I’ve read it seems to be kind of meh. I am similar to you where I feel like a little bit of the not good stuff is okay and then I use it and can’t shake the icky feeling. Speaking of icky feeling, that is exactly what Le Bella Figura is to me. There is just something about the line that seems off, the way they write is like they’re always passive aggressively saying everyone else is inferior to them and it is a huge turn off.

Thank you JJ for watching! I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one regarding mixed feelings. (And I also completely agree about your comments regarding LBF).

I hadn’t heard of the LBF thing until you mentioned in this video so I did a bit of internet sleuthing and opened my eyes. I can’t believe they would stoop to personally attacking and harassing someone like that. In this positive energy sphere of the green community, there lacks a discerning voice and I actually learned a lot from what Green Derm said. While I don’t think he was ‘nice’ and ‘supportive’ of their business, I don’t think he has to be. He made relevant points which are: why slag others products saying that toners are not essential until you come out with toners and change your tune? That IS HYPOCRITICAL not to mention misinformed and a dirty way to play. His point about Vitamin C is very good to know as well and without it, I would never have thought to question it. Yes he did say that they weren’t the most educated which isn’t nice, but it isn’t wrong. I read their blogs which are riddled with grammatical mistakes and come across juvenile. This is a good point! I do not want to invest my face care in their hands!

I feel a little bad bringing it back to the surface after so many years, but indeed, it was mind-blowing. I look up to Green Derm a lot because of his background and his very no BS attitude. Likewise, I would have never questioned their stance on vitamin C until he brought it up. (He’s also totally changed my views on honey–BeautyIdealist recently mentioned that in her review on May Lindstrom Problem Solver either in the review directly or in the comments).

Excellent Article! Thank you for sharing such an informative post. I had recently read another interesting post explaining the types of skin care products to be used for different type of skins. https://www.sassafrasco.com/blog/skin-care
