Summertime Minimalism

This is a mixed bag of recent favorites that also functions together as a glowy, minimalistic look for the summer. Even more, for this Memorial day weekend, if you snag these goodies (or any other set of goodies of your choice totaling to $150), you will get an awesome GWP from Citrine Beauty Bar–read on for the details.

1 | May Lindstrom the Jasmine Garden
I love love love the scent of jasmine, and this toner mist created by May Lindstrom, the “Skin Chef” as people commonly say, creates this heavenly cloud of jasmine amazingness. Misted before serums or oils, or after makeup application, the Jasmine Garden gives you this wonderful sensorial experience and dewy look to beat. I have a tendency to go through this very quickly sadly…

2 | Kjaer Weis Lip Gloss in Tenderness
I’ve been enjoying this MLBB lip gloss that is so easy to throw over any lip color or on bare lips. It’s so nourishing, that sometimes I use it in place of a lip balm. On one hand I love that Kjaer Weis came out with so many nude-y shades at once, but I had the hardest time choosing which one to get. In addition to Tenderness, I also got Treasure, which is supposed to be peachier, but layered on top of Kjaer Weis lip liner in Mauve or even my natural lips, you can barely tell the difference. My advice is to roll the dice between the nude-y colors and pick one, but if you want them all, go for it.

3 | Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara in Endless Midnight
Most mascaras have been major flops for me, giving me panda eyes and resulting in me having to clean up my eyes all day. I’ve been hooked on the Kjaer Weis mascara for maybe three or four years, because it reliably doesn’t flake or smudge for me (unless it’s getting to the point of needing to replace it). I wasn’t a fan when I tried Ilia’s original mascaras, but decided to try their new one on a whim. I’m hooked. The brush is similar to Kjaer Weis’s in that it’s a small-ish plastic brush which I prefer, but it’s unique in that one side is more prickly-ish for volume and another side is slightly longer for lengthening. It’s easy to build up and separate lashes, and to boot, it doesn’t smudge or flake.

4 | rms beauty luminizer x quad
When this launched, I didn’t think I needed this palette. How many highlighters does a person need? But after the girls at Sarah Kahn Hair applied it on me during a balayage appointment, I was like, I want this now. I love that I have so many options in one little palette–one day I can choose to be super sparkly, another day I can have more gold tones, and another day I can be more on the natural side. Or I can just layer all of them at the same time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now for the GWP details. Citrine Beauty Bar is including a Glam Bag worth over $125 with purchases of $150 or more.

I’d want this just for the new Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum. I’ve probably mentioned this a lot of times on the blog by now, but at a Credo event ages ago, Tata Harper recommended layering her Resurfacing Mask in the serum step for acne-prone skin. During breakout times, my sister and I loved that tip, and I think it’s awesome that Tata Harper has come out with a serum to fill that space. I’ve tried one of the Boosts from The Beauty Chef before (maybe the Hydration one?), and I went through it so quickly because it was so delicious mixed with water. The Kjaer Weis lip gloss is divine. She’s great with color, of course, but her textures are what set it apart. She makes such incredible makeup. Thanks for sharing!
